Home Energy Audit

Overview

Cedar Sustainable offers a Home Energy Audit, as a basic alternative to the full BER certificate. The audit includes the following:

  • Review of the central heating system, it’s efficiency and the requirements of the house
  • Assessment of insulation
  • Review of windows/doors and draught proofing requirements where necessary
  • Recommendations on a course of action for cost savings

Most of the recommended solutions derived from the Home Energy Audit will pay for themselves within a few years. The audit is a less costly alternative to a full BER and its findings have already helped customers to reduce their energy bill, along with their carbon footprint.

How long does it take?

The average audit will be completed within 2 hours and is a clean, professional service that is carried out by SEI registered energy assessors. Some initial details will be given on the day however; a full list of recommendations will be posted/emailed after the visit.

Follow-Up information

If any further information is required, a trained SEI assessor is at the end of the phone.

How much does it cost?

The cost is dependent on the size of your property – however the pricing is significantly cheaper than that of a full BER and costs on average €250 + VAT. For a quote please do not hesitate to contact us and a friendly member of staff will advice you on the costing for your individual house.
